I Know, I Know

Okay, I know that everyone is not interested in pictures of babies, but I am posting this anyway because my niece is the cutest thing alive. Look at her. She's just cute. Plus she told her mom this weekend that I was her favorite person in the world, so that definitely moved her higher up on my list.
I would also like to point out that Mia looks exactly like Andy at this age. It's kinda eerie...but cute, yet again.

Holy Cow.

So... this one time...last night...me, and Lucas, and Cam, and Liz, and Anna, and Chris, and Brazle...went to hang out together...at 10PM...in a movie theater...to see a movie... called...................................................................................................................................................................

I have not had this much fun in a movie in a long time. We decided to go see the sneak preview that about 20 other people decided to attend. There was clapping, screaming - of laughter and shock (the first two fatalities are, well, pretty incredible), amazing comments throughout by the audience, and of course, Samuel L. Jackson. A movie of this calibur does not come around very often. We were actually pretty surprised that it did have a storyline. I don't want to say anymore in case you decide to partake of the enjoyment. If you do decide to see this cinematic wonderment I suggest going with a fun group of friends. It makes the movie.

GODSPELL

Last weekend Lucas and I saw the musical Godspell at the Civic Center. I knew next to nothing about this musical besides that it was an account of the book of Matthew and it was very contraversial. However, knowing those things I went in with an open mind and it was a good thing I did. It was very obvious from the very beginning why some more "conservative" people would not appreciate this variation of the gospel. Don't misunderstand me to say that I am a liberal, but sometimes I can see the bigger picture, you know?
Unfortunately, this portrayal of Godspell did not get good reviews by the Oklahoma papers because "the actors humor was lost in their improvisation", and some other choice things to pick at. I don't disagree with everything they said, but overall, it was moving and intriguing. It was set to more modern language mixed with scripture with no alteration to truth and comparison.
I am not going to advertise for everyone to go see this because it is not for everyone, but if you have an open mind, and enjoy musicals and entertainment you might enjoy Godspell.
Cheers!
