Embarrassing Moment # 1,723

On Wednesdays I take Mia home after church. We were in the east lobby sitting on the couches while we waited on Lucas to pull the car around. Mia wanted to lead a song and a prayer. She stands up and leads the two of us in "Jesus Loves Me" at the top of her lungs. People are leaving, passing us and smiling. I hear "how cute is that?" and "She is playing song leader Scott". All is well and good...until the prayer.

Mia: "It's time to pray. Bow your head and close your eyes." (I wasn't about to have my eyes
open with the fear she would be watching me to make sure they were closed!)

Mia: "God, thank you for today. Thank you for this beautiful evening. Thank you for mommy
and daddy. Please help Bode to feel better because he has been sick. (pause - also I hear
a couple people coming by just as...) Oh, and help Aubrie cause she has the diarrea.
AMEN!"

Aubrie: In her head "What the- !?! Those people better not know me!"

The two people had just made it out the door, but I was able to catch Matt McCook saying to Francis Sawyer "Did you hear that last part?"

Dang it! I know both of them!

I would like to say for the record that I DO NOT have THE diarrea! Nor have I been sick. However, after dropping her off, and my brother and Summer stopped laughing, Summer told me that her doll named Aubrie has "been sick" with diarrea and in the hospital and was laying in her hospital bed (on the couch). Next time I think Mia owes it to me to clarify such things in her public prayers!

Thank you and goodnight.

THIS is the reason I stayed online until 11:10 this evening. Erick and I can't stop laughing.

I think I will start calling her "the prophet."

I love it! I can't stop laughing...Corban asks me if I have boogers in public so I don't think I will let him know the word diarhea!

Oh, Aubrie. Wait until you have your OWN kids. Then things really get embarrassing.

Yeah, that is exactly why I am perfectly content with a niece and nephew for a GOOD while.
