I had a wedding every weekend in June, which was great. Each one was very unique to the couple, and to me as the coordinator.
Here are some "firsts" I experienced:

1. A fully "planning only" service (their church had a "day-of" coordinator already) - I planned pre-wedding, and decorated for the wedding.
a. Sang live for a wedding that I was hired to plan.

2. Coordinated a wedding that I was also a bridesmaid in (for my sis-in-law). So exhausting, but SO fun.

3. Velcro has many, many more uses than I ever imagined.

4. Having to pull a car up for sound for an outdoor ceremony because the sound system wouldn't work at the last minute (it was behind trees, at least).

5. AND...Having a four-tier cake fall at an outdoor reception during the father-daugher dance, that was taking place right beside the cake table. Then trying to salvage good icing to put it back together for pictures while using one finger for each tier to hold up the cake so that it would not fall again. I had to hold the cake between each picture, while crouched down below the table so that I wouldn't be in their pictures. So fun.

I love my job.

The Saga Continues

I'm going to brag on my husband (and Dara and Mandy's husbands, too) for this video he made for the Matt Stansberry Band (who are extremely talented!). Enjoy!

Well, this past weekend our water heater ended up causing our house to look like this: Plus water damage to the carpet in the hall and master bedroom and the master bath. Fun times.

So, we stayed here all weekend:
Fortunately, we were eventually going to re-do that guest bath. Now our insurance is doing it for us! Woot! So, check back for the finished product in the near future.

A New Frontier

Saturday we took Mia on her first trip to Frontier City. It was all great fun, until the pirate ship.
Here is the before pic:
Notice how much fun it was a first, then how quickly terror strikes.

After the ride stopped and the crying stopped Mia said "Let's do that again!" The poor thing is confused from the feeling of near death was my thought. But I was wrong. We rode it two more times.

Lucas and Mia fighting over who gets to steer the dragon.

This guy was the reason we went to Frontier City. He does theatre with Lucas and gave us free tickets, so we went to see his Wild West Gun Fight show.

Light'em Up

Our 4th consisted of:

Lunch at Red Robin w/ my parents.
This afterward in the parking lot:

A cheap movie at Northpark: What Happens in Vegas (actually not too bad)
Then we hit the road to Minco. We can't have a July 4th w/o Minco.

Happy 4th!
