"Just Call Me Jabba."

"Ehhhh, me chunky."

"Gimme my food, woman!"

"What up?
I'm a chunk nut.
I think it's fun
when I eat a ton.

Henson is 16 weeks today. We had his well baby visit today even though it's really about a week early. When he went in at two month the Dr. really wanted to monitor his weight cause he hadn't gained a whole lot. Well...we have definitely solved that problem. The child is in the 71% bracket for weight (15 lb 6oz)! Hello! He is also 86% in length (25.75 in.)!
He can roll over both ways, push up on this hand from his stomach, laugh, loves to suck his thumb (as of last week) and hold and suck on his toys. His favorite place to be is the exersaucer, and he loves to smile and be around people.

We love our not-so-little guy!

Let's Rethink This...

Last night Henson went "swimming" for the first time. Didn't go over so well. Can you tell?
This should make our trip to Great Wolf Lodge in August oh so fun.

He was okay with it later, but only for about 30 seconds.

He would much rather play with Boppy outside the pool.

This was one my favorite weddings ever. Most of this due to how wonderful the couple was - so sweet and fun. Check out their amazing pictures from their photographer's blog (P.S. Thanks for the mention, Christian! - You guys were awesome!)

This Is What I Have To Work With

Sick. This kid is looking more like an old man every day. At least according to the hairstyle he is creating by movin' and scootin' in his bed. What am I supposed to do about this?? I'm soooo tempted to just shave it all and start over.

Moving on...happy 14 weeks!

We'll just look at him from this side.

Relief Comes in Swively Packages

This is the newest addition to Henson's "toy yard" in the living room. He wants to be standing up 95% of the time and therefore my arms feel like limp noodles 95% of the time. Since he holds his head up so well already I figured an excersaucer would be the perfect answer. Summer's parents had an extra one so here is the outcome. He. loves. it. It has been pretty amusing to see him start to realize that he is standing but I'm not the one holding him up - AND he has things directly at his access to move around (he is still getting the hang of grabbing on to things). Ah, bliss - for both of us.

I think that is the face of pure joy, don't you? Or something like that.

Did I Have This Coming?

Henson is not napping. For the past three days he refuses to nap longer than 30 minutes. Excuse me, sir, this is unacceptable. Maybe when you talk about what a good sleeper your kid is this is how the world gets back at you. Dang it.

He just cried out in his crib...again. I guess I should go.......................

.....ok, I'm going!

Where Was I?

How could I forget to post about Henson's month upgrade to 3 months?? If I was busy I would have a better excuse. Wait. Hmmm...okay, I'm letting myself off the hook.

Anyway...yesterday was Henson's 3 month birthday. He/we celebrated this weekend by letting him stay overnight with his grandparents for the first time. He did awesome (of course). I, on the other hand, had a hard time falling asleep, and not thinking about how he was doing non-stop. Though, once I was asleep I stayed there until 11am! That's right. Niiiiice.
Rockin' the double chin!
He has changed so much just in the past two weeks. He has filled out a lot! He is talking even more, and loves to "sing", especially during church. He laughs a lot. He loves to play with his hands and suck on them. He even refuses a pacifier now because his hands are just too interesting. He wants to be standing up constantly, which definitely helps the toning of my arms. He is still a great sleeper, except the occasional wake-up due to rolling over in his crib. The stinker would rather roll over in bed than during play time, as much as we try! At least that only happens during the day.
He is so much fun and already has such a sweet and entertaining personality. Now that the newborn trial period is over we have decided that we'll keep him.

My Loves

Henson loves music already, and especially when his daddy plays for him. He "sings" the whole time. *sigh* Love it.
Lucas's musical talent is one of the reasons I fell in love with him - this just makes it even stronger.

Now this is the kind of fun the kids have at my house. Water and nakedness - what else do you need on a hot summer day?

Adopted Ahmo

Henson has officially been adopted by Ahmo. Yippee! The week he was born she was holding him and I mentioned that she was almost like his third great-grandma. Which she replied, "I AM his third great-grandma! And you better expect him to call me Ahmo!" I did not argue. Who wouldn't want Ahmo!
This weekend Mia delivered this to Henson - made especially for him by Ahmo. He truly LOVES this little "green circle man" (named by Mia).

Hanging out together

Holding Hands

This is not the "Thank you, Ahmo!" picture I was going for.....BUT I guess he was actually joining in on Ahmo's fun. He really does love it, Ahmo. Thanks!!!
