2 cereal servings + 2 shorter naps = 20 weeks

So, once H hit 20 weeks he was like "These 2 1/2 hour naps are way overrated. I could SO be playing and talking during that extra time I've been wasting with sleep!" He has been waking up an hour earlier in his naps all of the sudden talking in his bed. At least he's happy (me, on the other hand...I was VERY much liking the extended naps).

He has also started cereal (well, he started last week, but we won't count that since I don't think he actually swallowed any of it). This week he has been all over the "big people" food. Wait, switch that. He's still the happiest little guy though. Happy 20 weeks!

Anyone know of a caricatureist (I know, that isn't a word) that I could call for Heartbeat For Hope this year? Mine from last year can't do it.

Instant Party

I am a sucker for random, useless toys and gadgets. However, I also have a pretty strong logical side that reigns in the crazy side (well, some of the time). But these may just have to be purchased for my next party.

Aubrie's Day Care

I had a packed house yesterday, and it was so fun! They are these kids! I can't believe how big they are now. This time it was a 4 year old, two 2 year olds, and a 4 month old. Just typing that makes me tired all over again. They were all great, though.

The kids:

Mia - played with Barbies 90% of the time.

Aidan - played with a Sonic flashlight most of the time. Chased Bode the rest of the time.
Bode - played with balls and stickers most of the time. Ran from Aidan the rest of the time.
Henson - slept most of the time. Watched the madness the rest of the time.
Aidan chasing down Bode with the Sonic flashlight. Bode is not intimidated.

Coloring and playing with stickers.
"Keeping the inside of the house quiet, naked play outside in the rain" time.
You don't get to see a pic of these two covered from head to toe in mud because they were heading for the door right as I was about to take it so I decided to save the inside of my house instead.
So they went straight in here.

Snack/Muppet Movie timeBode, the giant baby.
Do I look a little crazed to anyone else in this pic?

They all did really great with each other. Me? I slept REALLY good last night.

August 14-16 is defined as busy, but fun. The end.

Okay, I do have elaborate, at least for my own benefit.

Well, Friday morning was spent with all my favorite little people (and sis-in-law) - Henson LOVES "playing" with his cousins. That evening I was supposed to meeting with a bride, who is also a good friend, but her flight schedule was messed up and she didn't get in town until really late, so instead I hung out with the hub (he's pretty fun, ya know).Saturday morning I went to a wedding shower for above mentioned bride/friend at Kerry Pope's glorious home. I want to live there. I told her this, too, and that I want to be one of her grandchildren so I can enjoy the awesome play room!

Saturday afternoon I went to a baby shower for some of our good friends, Cam and Liz, who are due in September:
Saturday late afternoon was my nephew's 2nd birthday party. He's also pretty fun. Here he's yelling "Two!"Saturday evening I went to the same bride/friend's personal shower back at Kerry's house (love that place!). So much fun. Her mom is one of the funniest people I know, and she was a blast at the party.

Sunday my aunt Lesa and two of her daughters were in town.

Sunday evening after church I ate dinner then fell asleep around 8. Liiiiiittle bit tired.

I'm still kinda tired. I'm gonna go lay on the couch.

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Keep them thighs a rollin', Hen-son!

Monday I left Henson on his blanket in the middle of the living room to throw a diaper away and came back to this:
Except he was actually UNDER the couch the first time I found him. I didn't get that picture though. Now he does it every time I put him down, except when I try to video him. Then he just stops, stares, and smiles. Putting on a show already. Surprised? Me neither.

This Is What Happens When My Friends Come to Visit

They use a burp cloth to dress my child like some kind of nun/Fiddler on the Roof character.

"Stop making me look like a fool!"

Went To The Lodge

Loved the Lodge. Great Wolf Lodge was a good time, and because everyone there had children too, they were very understanding of my mom and I taking turns walking Henson around the hotel at 6am to keep him from waking up our whole floor.

For a 4 month old, he actually did very well for his first vacation. He loved everything but the extended car ride.

Ready to swim!

The boys in their car jammies with Boppy after a looooooong day.

Home. Now I Need A Vacation.

Back safe? Yes.

Back sane? Up for debate.

Pictures to come once I've regained consciousness from my sleep deprived, stress-induced coma.

Cavenaugh Originals

Linda Cavenaugh apparently has a hidden talent - photography. She offered to take pictures of Henson as a baby gift. She did a fantastic job! She just took these at our house and they are so good. We haven't seen all of them yet, but I can't wait to get the rest!
