Part of A Well Balanced Diet

Did you not know that? Well, it is when you are a toddler and you have two older cousins with lots of cool stuff around that you're not allowed to play with yet. Oh well. I'm 100% positive that he ate a fly yesterday, anyway.

This, Not That

I'm a new big fan of this website. I love that this article gives Chick-fil-a such a good rating. I love me some Chick. Not that I would have stopped eating there, but it makes me feel a little better about it.

We Need To Work On That Thing Called "Reality"

So, yeah, he can walk, he can say some comprehensable words, use a spoon alright, but we need to work on some basic reality - what IS real, and what IS NOT Real. We went to the zoo yesterday and Henson spent most of his time in the water yard trying to "catch" the fake animals that surrounded it. I guess he is just embracing all kinds.

He did love the water, too, though.

Viv and H

Trying to touch the birds.

Henson really likes the monkeys and makes a pretty convincing monkey sound. He was so excited that this one was so close. I wish you could see his full stance in the pick. He was up on his toes, pushing his belly against the glass squealing. Then he would run circles around the viewing room screaming. He fit right in.

FREE Starbucks - 4-15-10

I'm pretty sure this is where I will be going tomorrow morning instead of dropping off my taxes.

No, I'm 100% sure. Since I turned in my taxes a month ago. So I could concentrate on free coffee. I like to think ahead.

The Suite Life

This guy here is great. I just don't even know how else to tell you. But, I will tell a little of why...
Saturday night he took me to the Melting Pot for our anniversary for a four course fondue smorgasbord. It was so amazing. I could barely move afterward.

Then....instead of driving home he took me here.

But not just to any room....the King Size Suite.

With a King Size shower

Here I am taking a relaxing moment in my complimentary robe to read about the history of the Skirvin that is printed on the comforter.

We got to sleep in, watch movies and nothing else. SO, SO great.

Thank you, hon, for a wonderful weekend!
Happy Anniversary!

My Love

I married this man 4 years ago today. You might be somewhat shocked to know that the displays below is a lot of why I love my husband. Maybe you're not all that shocked at me, actually.
Happy 4 Year Anniversary, Babe!

I'm a little nervous about what the next 4 years will bring though...

The Party

The Invite:

This was Henson's entrance into the party. Everyone was already there and he stood there staring at them like this for a solid 5 minutes.

The Decor:

The Cake:

No, seriously, the cake:
Katie Rowten made the cake based on one of the robots from the party cups. It is identical!

First tasting of cake:

...and it was good.

Henson loved every minute of his birthday.
Maybe even as much as I loved planning it.

Maybe not.

Happy 1st birthday, H!!

Happy Birthday Henson!

I really can't believe they go from this:

to this:

in just 1 year. It has NOT been 1 year already. I might need to rock myself in Henson's glider for a while.

Happy Birthday, Henson! I love you!

(Birthday pics coming soon)

Easter - Year 1 or 2?

Henson was only 6 days old at Easter last year, so I think I'm going to count this one as his first. Because I can.

How fun are these two together!?! Love it.

"The More You Know..." *Bing, Bong, Bing, Bing*

Henson loves to flip through his books. He will sit for a good 30 minutes or more in his room by himself and look through his books. I have no idea where he gets that from because he neither his father nor I have shown him that example. Oh well.

Anyway....he has moved on to more mature reading material (I mean mature for an 11 month old. sheesh.)

After emptying the bookshelf he targeted what he was looking for.

Maybe after he gets done with it he can explain to me how I should raise him because I'm sure I won't ever get around to reading it myself. I kinda like this idea.
