Train Museum

What do you do when it's 110 outside? You take an un-airconditioned train ride. Duh.

My soft spot moment of the week

I love that my boys are actually starting to play together. Happily. For more than 30 seconds. Well, sometimes. But not many things have made me feel as happy than when the oldest head-locked hugged the youngest after a good wrestle match and said, "You are my best friend, buddy!"

Did me in.
We'll see how the next 15 years go, but I'll take every second of liking each other I can get right now.

You always need to be prepared to support the Force

Instead of napping Henson made sure all his clean laundry was adorned with a Star Wars sticker. He said it was for next time he wore the shirts - he wanted to be supportin'.
He also made his own wall collage. At least he was quiet for one whole hour.
(Not pictured: a VERY highly place sticker. Attributed the loud, unnamed 'thud' noise during naps to this sticker placement.)

Channeling Ross Geller

As the proud mother that I am, when my son came up with his own solo act, all I kept seeing during his inspiring performance was him, 25 years in the future, in a coffee shop proudly allowing others to hear his 'music'.

60 Years = a LONG time. They make it look easy.

My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary early this month. They are the prime example of what a marriage should be, and I could not be more blessed to have them to look up to.

With their three daughters and their sons-in-law.

The next generation is looking in tune with reality.

My Papaw presented his, written and bound, memoirs, and gave each child and grandchild a copy. I love that we will have this keepsake of his story.
These guys.
And these guys.
(Wyatt is my cousin Byron's little boy. Simon was thrilled to have someone smaller than him around.)
