My Banjo Boys

Lucas was invited to Henson's little Pre-K school yesterday to play  for their music week. I think both guys were pretty excited. Biased or not, it was pretty cute.

Let's Talk Lashes

I have always loved mascara. My sad little invisible blonde lashes have always needed major help.
I was very excited to try out the new 'It's A Long Story' mascara from Arbonne. It all natural, long- lasting, dermatologist tested, and improves the length of your lashes.
I have been using it for one week.
Here is the comparison:
Left = old mascara (Bare M.)
Right = Arbonne 'It's A Long Story'
Love. It.
It does not clump and does not flake or get stuck to my other lashes.
I can't wait to see how my lashes will look after the recommended results time frame of 4 weeks!

A friend just pointed out to be clear that it is not waterproof, but is to be water resistant. So going swimming and crying might create running.

Love x 3

This is my Valentine's present. One of my very favorite things about an artist husband is treasures like this. And this. And this.
(And my family tree I can't seem to find a link to.)

These two were replicated from our family pics last fall by Mandy Stansberry. I adore the series of the boys' pics she took for us.

And then we have these guys:

Before/After Windows

If you have ever had brand new windows then you know the unbridled excitement that comes with them. Please know I am totally serious. Before the newbies I could blow dry my hair next to my son's window pane from the outside air seeping through. Bleh.

Here are the before/afters of both of the boys' rooms:

Henson's room before
So wonderful. Triple pane, inside blackout shade, outer opening windows

Simon's pocket windows before

Simon's wall window before

Simon's pocket window after. Triple pane, inside blackout shade, non opening.

Simon's wall window. Triple pane, inside blackout shade, outer opening window.

*sigh* So happy.

Boy's Bathroom Makeover

This makeover is only half done, but I'm excited to have it progressing - meaning happy with myself for actually getting moving since we are just doing this ourselves.
Before we moved in
Before/Progress of cabinet transformation

Bottom cabinets finished (I really love the dark grey);  walls & wood baseboards & trim painted

Wall opposite the mirrors - favorite pics from our fall photo shoot with Mandy Stansberry & I added the verse Deut. 31:6 about being strong and courageous (you know, to go with the superhero theme)

Here we are so far. Cabinet handles added, hinges spray painted silver, new soap dispenser w/ matching trash can (exciting!), and new light fixture.

Next up: the bathtub side of the bathroom. No telling how long that will take me. Don't wait on me.
